I’m Ready For Spring!

I know I am being dramatic when I say that I am completely OVER winter at this point. Sure, the holiday season is fun because you are all festive and go ice skating, shopping and sing Christmas songs on repeat (maybe that’s just me), but in my personal opinion, when Christmas & NYE is over, I am ready for Spring! I am dreaming of having a sun-kissed tan (of course wearing SPF- safety first!) and wearing lots, and lots of color! So I decided to go straight to the fashion color experts, Pantone, and see what they have decided are the colors for Spring 2012. Let’s check it out together!

“We love the mix of hot neon colors with soft pastels, reminiscent of nature at its extremes: a powerful sunset, the ocean sparkling at dusk with flashes of lightning in the distance” — Nanette Lepore

Tadashi Shoji Spring 2011: A Whirlwind of Silk, Chiffon & Lace

According to Tadashi Shoji, his Spring 2011 Collection was “an homage to 15th century elegance and romance.” He was inspired by the renaissance frescos of Piero Dellla Francesca and Botticelli and the icy cool color palette of venetian landscape and architecture.

Below are images that I took from his exhibit at Lincoln Center. Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of chatting with Tadashi Shoji. He was such a charming man and I am excited to see more of his designs in the future.
